It's doubtful that message came from microsoft.
Make sure your Antivirus definitions are up-to-date and that you have turned
off whatever services are not using;
make sure you remove all ad-ware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ makes an
ad-aware product ... disclaimer, this is a link to a third-party site
