Our internet server is hisurfer.net. Almost every time I
turn on the computer a different server has replaced ours,
and we have to every day go to tools and reinstate
highsurfer. We also have "adult links" icon appear on our
desktop every few days, and I have to go through all the
process of deleting, and then it comes back. No one else
uses this computer, and I never enter any porno or adult
type sites whatsoever.
We have messages that appear to be from microsoft stating
that our situation is very dangerous for our computer, and
that the invader may be able to get private information
including credit card numbers, etc.
This message instructed us to click to take care of the
problem, but I was afraid to do so for fear that it was
not really from microsoft, but might be from whoever is
invading the computer pretending to be microsoft. How may
we clear the computer of these things? Please give VERY
SIMPLE instructions as I am a complete computer novice.
Thank you. Carita Shockey
