I had a similar problem on one CA and reinstalling the patch worked.
Possibly you could try that in safe mode. If the machine will not allow it
to be reapplied you may want to post in Windows Update newsgroup. There are
methods to modify the registry I believe that can work around a patch
reinstall which I do not know how to do offhand.. --- Steve
