You migh try adding the user to the local power users group which will allow
him to install a lot more software without all the rights of an
administrator. A power user will however be able to create shares and manage
users and groups on the local machine. Regedt32 can be used to change
registry permissions in a way similar to ntfs permissions. --- Steve
