File Owner

Hi,
We have a few XP pro machines on our 2000 network with an interesting
problem, all files and folders the user creates on the network drive is
owned by Administrators and not by the actual name of the creator, the user
can take ownership with his/her name, but the question is why is the
file/folder not created with the correct owner.
Thanks
