Not really. EFS is meant to be secure. It sounds as if you have a problem with
corruption of some sort and without a backup EFS private key you pretty much are out
of luck. If the files are very important a call to Microsoft may help [not free] if
you have the intact user profile and remember the password for that user. Efsinfo may
also be helpful to determine who can decrypt. You said you tried to Ghost the
original. Try using the cipher command also to decrypt after running Check Disk
