Mark, I came across this same message, and had limited success with this KB
article from MS,
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;285793&Product=win2000.
Although if you system is no longer on a network, I'm not sure if it will be
of much use to you. You might also look at this Article.
