As usual, I download all Microsoft critical updates...this
is the first time one has hosed my computer. The above
update caused my computer (on reboot) to state I was
behind a firewall in such a way that my computer failed to
even recognize it's own network card. Fortunately, I was
able to restore configuration settings with a recent
backup. However, I'm rather disturbed that Microsoft
would provide such a poorly-written critical update...I
suppose if they want to promote "absolute" Internet
security, completely shutting off access to the Internet,
as they did on my computer, is the way to do it. Has
anyone else had this problem?
