Greg you are correct. Modify does not allow a user to change permissions. I have not
actually experienced your problem, but I believe it has to do with the way Office may
handle temporary or writing to files. Try changing permissions of the folder for
creator/owner to modify instead of full and check advanced permissions for anything
that may be causing your problem. I am not real familiar with office, but also check
permissions to the "temporary folder" referred in the KB below. You may also want to
post in an Office newsgroup. --- Steve
