Why is it there is always a group of people who always try to put a
spanner in the works.

Someone does something good, and others (quite wrongly) complain.
Someome does something crap, and others (quite rightly) complain.
No one does anything at all and others complain that no-one's helping.

You can't win. Don't care. FAQ's always welcome as far as I'm
conserned and all the complainers can stuff it where the sun don't
shine.
