I just installed the recent Win 2000 security patch via
auto-update & when I rebooted I got a message about a
corrupted directory and to run checkdisk. (Part of the
message seemed to be referring to NAV files so there may
be a compatability problem with the patch & NAV.) I
rebooted, but after chckdsk finished the PC is now in a
perpetual reboot with the error message:
"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process System process terminated
unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000
0x00000000).
The system has been shut down."
When I boot from floppy the C drive does not show up so I
am unable to try any of the fixes suggested in previous
posts about this error message. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE
WELCOME.
