ActiveSync will not connect?

Hi,
I am running windows 2000 and I have recently applied the
SP4 service pack together with the Symantec Fix for the
Blaster 32 Worm.
I use the Zone Alarm Pro firewall software and IMPro
Messenging protection software.
Since installing SP4 and the Blaster worm fix I have not
been able to get my AcitiveSync to connect to my Ipaq
device any more?
I am not sure whether the SP4 or the Symantec Blaster Fix
has caused the problem?
I have never (touch wood) had any viruses on my PC and it
is still showing up as clean after scanning it with every
scanning tool I can lay my hands on!
Has anyone else encountered the same ActiveSync problem
recently or is it just me?
Any help would be appreciated.
