IE and other MS problems

Hey there. I have not installed the 'fix' for the worm
yet. I tried to get to it last night, however either my
computer or the microsoft sight was having issues. The
odd thing is that my computer does not have the
svchost.exe error coming up anymore. Now when I try to
shut down my system, either to leave it down or to restart
it, it tells me that NewDotNetClass will not respond. It
tries to close it, but then I ultimately have to end the
program. Does anyone know what is happening now?

Also has anyone else had a problem with Internet Explorer
since installing any of the up-dates and patches from
microsoft? My internet provider says that I am one of the
fastest computer that they have ever seen. I do not drop
packets. I just seem to be crawling on the internet these
days. I usually do not even see the blue loading bar, and
now I rarely see if finish. Any thoughts on this?

I appreciate any help you can give me on this.
