Transparent screen saver or lock

I want to use a screen saver or some sort of a screen lock that would leave
the desktop or program visible and running while securing the PC. I have
found that the 2k Resource Kit Supplement 1 has a tool (clearscreensvr.exe)
that will do this.

Does anyone know if there is anything else that will accomplish the same
thing and if I buy the Resource Kit Supplement 1 will I legally be able to
use it on multiple PCs?

Thanks for any help,

Jack
