Map drives to shares - in this case, don't put accounting as a subfolder of
another shared folder - and share the relevant folders as hidden (using a
dollar sign, as in, ACCOUNTING$).
As in -
D:\Group is shared as GROUP$ and mapped as a drive letter for the users who
need it
D:\Accounting is shared as ACCOUNTING$ and mapped as a drive letter for the
users who need it.
Permissions are set appropriately in NTFS. D is not shared for user access.
What's your objection to mapping drives?
