 guess I didn't explain myself that clearly :)

Preious scenario.

I could log onto a computer locally as administrator, and when I went to
browse the network and hit a file server, I was immediately asked to
"connect as" a user for access to the resources.

Now.

I log on locally to the computer, not the domain, browe a fileserver and I
see the shares, I do not get the option to "connect as" a certain user, say
a domain admin, and get access that way.
