I just did an upgrade of Win98 to Win2k Pro. Every time I
boot, it finds an unknown PnP PCI device. The only PCI card
is the sound and it is working. I even unplug that card and
it's still finding and trying to install an unknown PCI
device. I have a USB network card that is not setting up
properly and appears to be dependant on this unknown PCI
device. I also unplug it and get the same results when
booting up. Is there any way to tell Windows there are no
PnP PCI devices (in this case, there really aren't any)?
thanks,
Jim
