Sounds like the problem is that you did not back up the "system
state" which would have saved the domain info and allowed you to do an
authoritative restore of Active directory, but if things were that corrupt
that may have not been a good idea anyhow. It probably would have been best
to reformat and start over from scratch. Be sure to back up the system state
when you get things up to snuff. -- Steve
