I am having the exact same problem. I do have one user
though who has the standard read and write permissions who
can save files from her Windows and Office XP machine. If
I log her onto a Win 98 PC though, she can't save from any
application. I can however, with anyone, copy and past a
file in any folder on the shared drive just fine, the
problem comes from when I try to save from an
application. Please email me back if you find a
    solution. Andrew@PestOne.com
