Folder Permissions

There's a folder on my server that has an application
installed in it that users access to run an application.
What permissions should I have on this folder? I'd like
to have it obviously so poelple can use the application,
but not so anyone could change anything that would cause
the application to quit responding. Any help is
appreciated.
