Well, you certainly got yourself in a bit of a mess. If you are not able to
connect to the troubled station from another machine as an Administrator
from Computer Management, and are not able to open the remote registry (you
know how to do that?), I wouldn't know how to solve this problem other than
installing W2K again.
BTW: which setting exactly did you change in the first place?
