administrator account

just installed w2000pro upgrade late last night. I messed
up administrator password as I cannot load any programs.
I also cnnot regiter the new copy even though I am
connected by DSL that is through a ruter box and always
on. Never had trouble win W98SE.

I do not want to clean the laptop off with a clean reboot.
