how to filter who a local policy is applied to?

This has got to be a silly question!!
I use the Group Policy snap-in (pointing at a local W2K Server machine) to
"Hide all icons on Desktop" (under User Configuration / Administrative
Templates / Desktop). So, all users now logging on to the box via Terminal
Services have the desktop icons hidden. Great!
BUT, how can I prevent this from happening when I (the admin) logon to the
same box?
