Microsoft is working on on different solutions to help make patch management
easier. Have you looked at using MSUS or Automatic Updates (Windows 2000 and
above) as partial solution? The WIN NT patch management is a little more
difficult. Getting users to go to the windowsupdate site can help.
Tracking which machines have the latest patches is relatively easy with MBSA
which can be downloaded from the Microsoft site.
