You can set your security to Internet then hit the custom button (in Tools |
Options | Security) and go through the list. You will need to download
ActiveX controls to at least Prompt or allow, and enable Run ActiveX
controls and plugins and also enable Script ActiveX controls marked safe for
scripting.
I would also suggest you keep Download unsigned ActiveX controls as
disabled, and also disable Initialize and Script ActiveX controls not marked
as safe.
On other thing security wise go into the advanced options and turn off
install on demand.
