I know... in fact, you can get the same results with older
versions of the Mac file system stuff (AFP), and possibly
the newer stuff, but i haven't used it in ages.

The problem with these "approaches" is that they don't
really work. At least not by my definition, but many
people might not agree with that. I say they don't work
because it's the client that ultimately must respect
this "copy" bit. There is nothing the server can actually
do to respect it. An easily modified client can circumvent
this, and there's nothing the server admin can do to
change that. So, this setting leads the server admins to
overestimate the protection that's being provided.
