workgroup problem..plz help

Hi! my problem is if i have one 2000 domain server
(eg:microsoft.com, server name=domainserver) and one group
of the pc under eg:CSO workgroup, the pc spec is win98 and
win2000. I have no tend to make the workgroup join to the
domain. For the window2000 pc each time i run
\\domainserver\ it will prompt me key in the domain user
name and password. How to i make the workgroup user id
have a right to access the resources, so that no need for
me to key in the domain user name and password?
for the win98, it will prompt me only the password,
without provide the domain user id, i cant access the
resources. The prompt message is:-
\\domainserver\ipc$ then password:________

Some of my central application cannot work if the
workgroup user didn't have access right. Please advice if
i didn't join the domain. Thanks
