I can not log in on to my lap top running under Windows
2000 professional. This computer is stand alone although
it was on a local area network until the current problem
occured. The problem occured when I changed some
information on the Network - Identification panel and
then re-booted. I now get an error message after
entering my user name and password. The message
says "The system could not log you on. Make sure your
user name and domain are correct...". I have read other
posted messages on this problem but they seem to assume
the existence of an NT server. Is there a way I can log
on or reset the user name and password and then log on
if, as it seems, my user name and/or password have
somehow become corrupted?
