I am working with Microsoft to resolve a few issues after I applied the
patches to a handful of computers running w2k pro or server. All the
computers have SP3, running IE 6 SP1 with all the latest security patches
except for 811493.

On one W2k pro, it will give me a blue screen with Stop x7F, indicating some
conflicts exist with some drivers. MS support asked me to check for
unsigned drivers. With more than 40 unsigned drivers, it would not be
possible to find the right one easily. I planned to uninstall the patch in
safe mode for now.

One one SBS W2k server, it will not even boot up. Again uninstalling the
patch in safe mode saved the day. I have not called in yet.

One those that the patch was applied successfully, things were kind of
freezing. On one W2K server with 10 CALS, with only 2 computers connected,
the SMB licensing module complained that all CALS were used up and licenses
were not granted so the connection to a folder in one client was dropped.
When I checked the licensing module, it claimed 10 were active. Some of
them must have been locked up. I had to reboot the server to fix it. If it
continues, I will probably uninstall the patch.

I hope if more problems are discovered with this patch, more people will
call in to let Microsoft know about problems with this patch. I literally
wasted 2 days installing and uninstalling the same patch over and over
again.
