Unable to Renew or Create certificate - URGENT

    Hi all,

    I have a SBS server 2000 SP3 fully patched up with IIS 5. I host
    websites for several companies where 2 of them have a Thawte SSL cert.

    Now has come the time for the first renewal.

    In IIS I right click choose "properties" go into "Directory security"
    and choose "Server Certificate". This brings up the "IIS Certificate
    Wizard" where I choose renew certificate.

    I click next 3 times accepting the defaults and right at the end I get
    a summery of the certificate information.

    Then I click "Next" so that it can generate the certificate - It takes
    a few seconds and it says:

    Failed to Generate the Certificate Request
    An internal error occurred.

    I have also tried to create a new site, for then to create a new cert,
    but end up with the same error.

    I have tried to start up the "MMC" Console adding the "Certificate"
    snapin.

    Here I can find the certificate under "Personal" and "Certificates".
    It's possible to right click where I get the option under "All task"
    to "renew certificate with new key..." - But haven't tried that - A
    bit worried if this is the right place to do it.

    I desperately need to renew this certificate as it expires soon..
