Yes if i understood it right. Lets say you have a folder
called W2K and inside this folder you have a sub folder
Users.
W2K - USERS
To prevent users from deleting and renaming the main
directory in this case W2K you give them only read
permission.(Be sure that u know how to assign permission
because it depends if you have a NTFS partition or FAT32).
Since you want allow users to Read/Write/Delete the sub
folders under W2K you give them the change permission for
the USERS folder. If you have a NTFS partition you should
leave the Sharing permission as Authenticated users Full
Control, and only mess with NTFS permissions. Note that
when you are apllying the NTFS permission you will have 2
check box on the top of the window saying something like:
- Aplly this policy to all folders under this folder.
- Aplly this policy to all files under this folder.
So take the right one that fits your needs
Good Luck,
