Limiting Active Directory search parameters

I am deploying a product that allows external users to
self-register at our website and have an account created
for them in a specific OU in Active Directory. How can I
limit the Search parameters in Active Directory so that
our internal users won't have to see all the externally-
created user accounts when they are doing their searches?
