    At a command prompt:

    To immediately impose group policy object settings located within the
    "machine" node of relevant group policy objects:
    secedit /refreshpolicy machine_policy /enforce

    To immediately impose group policy object settings located within the "User"
    node of the relevant group policy objects:
    secedit /refreshpolicy user_policy /enforce
