      Hi Tom. You do not need a certificate fro a commercial vendor as long
as you will be using it only for internal purposes with other computers that
trust the CA that issued the certificate. Certificate Authority can be
installed on W2K server - do a search at MS site. You could also use ipsec
between the two computers and use pre shared key for authentication. See
links and ignore reference to l2tp for ipsec shared key. -- Steve
