We are planning to deploy an Enterprise Root CA on our W2K server so
that we can create EFS recovery certificates. We plan to designate
additional recovery agents.

The W2K Server Resource Kit and the MS website explain that you will
need to renew the CA certificate before it expires. That is clear
however, I was wondering whether or not we will be warned before the
CA cerificate expires? If we set the validity date 5 or 10 years into
the future, it might be easy to forget to renew the CA. If the CA
does expire what happens?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Even pointing me in
the right direction so that I can research this myself would be
helpful.
