I agree with the other two posters.
Unless you meant to type RAID1 - disk mirroring, then you
are out of luck, and all the data is useless. RAID5 is the
most useful when redundancy is needed. It is a good
balance of speed vs redunancy vs disk cost. I run all my
servers on RAID5, and drives go out occasionally. Users
never know the difference, and the server never goes down.
