Could this have been a worm that has been going around (don't remember the
name) attached to an email that appears to be from Microsoft. The e-mail
looks like they pulled a bunch of stuff off of the Microsoft web site so it
really does look like it is from them. To the best of my knowledge
Microsoft does not sent out e-mail telling you to install their latest
patches and such. I have received such an e-mail 3 times now and my
anti-virus software has stopped it each time.
