it does work. i have done it multiple times and have
helped somebody else through the xp newsgroups to recover
all their data. the method recovers all encryption and
access keys and inserts them into a new system.
like i said, i am verifing 2k. the _quick_ xp writeup, i

i hear that John Banes[MS] has made a tool to do this also
called: reccerts.exe - ask him.
