Hi
Could you point me in the direction for help on renewing
Certificates on Windows 2000 Server.
We've tried a standalone CA using the Certificate
Enrollment web pages, but we are not sure what file to
paste.
Microsoft help says we need a program to generate the
PKCS#7 file: See below
If you use a PKCS #7 file to submit a request to renew an
existing certificate, the renewal request file must be
generated by a program. This procedure will not work with
a PKCS #7 file that merely contains an exported
certificate.
Not sure what program its talking about.
We also tried Enterprise CA to renew a Certificate with
the same key; this worked using MMC, but we could not
decrypt files
encrypted with the old key. Do our users have to have
multiple keys to open their old files everytime we renew
a Certificate.
Also is there a way to change the email address in a
certificate on renewal or at any other time.
Hope you can Help as I am bit stuck.
Many Thanks
