1. How can I secure my home lan so that Internet users
will not be able to access my shares on my two computers?
You have to have a firewall and antivirus software and
keep them both current. Viruses are coming up everyday so
you cannot do it by yourself. I use Symantec Norton
AntiVirus 2003 ... then you set up everything like credit
cards and email address as block unless you allow and even
then trojan horses can get in .... backup ... backup your
system often ... I use Norton Ghost to clone my disk and
then store it .. but that is extreme ... My domain name
registry is on a Server in another location for security.
