We are using passfilt.dll on our Win NT 4 domain to enforce password
complexity rules. We recently disabled anonymous logons on our domain
controllers. Since turning off anonymous logons, the error messaging for
password the complexity policy no longer works correctly.
For example - if a domain user is prompted to change their password, and
they select a password that does not meet the complexity rules, they receive
a message that they 'do not have permission to change the password' (instead
of the previously issued error msg that explained that the chosen password
has not met the complexity rules).
Has anyone experienced this same problem and is there any way to correct
these erroneous messages?

Jane
