Hi,

Can somebody just confirm some details regarding efs to me please?

Its my understanding that if a file is encrypted using efs, it will remain
encrypted regardless of what NTFS5 partition it is moved/copied to. That
if it is copied to a non-ntfs5 partition BY ME it will lose its encryption.
However if someone else who isn't the creator owner or recovery key chap
copies the file using NTFSDOS or something they will only get 'crap' to
pardon the expression?

I've been through these groups and there seems to be a lot of different
ideas on how it works. Is the above correct?

Many thanks.
