Hi,

Based on my experience, this alert can occur if the "Warn if changing
between secure and not secure mode" setting is enabled. Therefore, I
suggest you still go to Internet Options->Advanced and check if the "Warn
if changing between secure and not secure mode" box is enabled on both
computer.

In addition, when you click a link to a Web page inside a frame, which has
a secure Web address (the address starts with "https://"), the status bar
may not display the Secure Lock indicator. For more information, you may
refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

154621 Secure Lock Indicator May Not Appear on the Status Bar
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=154621

179592 Secure Lock Indicator Is Not Displayed in Internet Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=179592

Although the Secure Lock indicator no longer appears on the status bar, the
connection is still secure. This behavior does not affect the functionality
of the product.

If you have any further concerns, please feel free to post back.

Have a nice day!

Thanks & Regards,

Kyle Cui

| When I try to access the same ssl iframe application using
| the ie 6 browser from two different client boxes, I get
| slightly different result eventhough seemingly both
| browsers have the same settings. On one machine's browser
| when I bring up ssl iframe web application, I get a prompt
| asking me if I want to view unsecured page and a lock
| appears at the bottom of the screen. However, on the
| other machine's browser no prompt comes up and the lock
| doesn't appear at the bottom of the screen.
|
| I have checked advanced settings on both browsers and
| there is no difference.
|
| Could somebody tell me which settings affect the showing
| of these prompts?
|
| Thanks in advance
