I have a user in a Native Win 2K domain who is getting
this error when attempting to use the C$ share of his
computer on another Domain Computer:
Logon failure: The user has not been granted the requested
logon type at this computer.
Also, the PDC is unable to manage his computer, and cannot
map to his C$ or D$ drives.
On his machine, any other domain computer or the PDC, it
does not prompt for a log in, which I would anticipate it
should.
Microsoft Knowledge base article 249918 mentions this
problem, but its fix is not applicable. It prescribes a
change in settings in the User Manager for Domains
(usrmgr) but that is not accessible on a Win2K Domain.

So, now I'm stuck. I removed and added the machine to the
Domain and have had no luck. The only additional piece of
info is this is a laptop which is used off site. While he
does not log into other networks, he does use a "Net Use"
batch file to connect to a share in this other network.

Any thoughts, or if you need more info than what was
provided, please let me know.

Thanks!
