I am trying to connect from a win98 PC to a win2k PC via
my LAN at home -- to access a external drive on the win2k
machine. When I click on the appropriate win2K PC in
network neighborhood on the win98 PC, I am prompted to
supply a password to access the resource:
\\win2k-pc-name\IPC$
I've tried all passwords that I've set on the win2k pc
(admin, user, etc.) -- but nothing works. Is there some
default pw? Is there a file that I can access (as admin)
that lists this password?
The win2k pc is not set up as a server -- it's an
individual use laptop.
Thanks for any help!
Gary
