Thanks for the responses. The problem was fixed with the 1st
knowledge base article 259151. Evidently the permissions were not
correct for the system to adjust the paging file even though it looked
like everything was ok. AND this was because I had removed the
"everyone" from the sharing permissions. It seems the 'system'
permissions are contained in the "everyone" permissions, and by
deleting it, I remdered the system incaple of changing the paging
file.
