This problem stems from another problem that I had, my
system's UPS failed last Tuesday, causing a corruption of
my registry, using the registry newsgroup, I was able to
restore the registry, by copying the files from the
RegBack directory into the Config directory. That allowed
my system to boot. But not knowing which reg file was
corrupted, I copied the entire contents of the RegBack
directory, thus replacing everything, including my SAM.
Now when I try to logon I get the message telling me that
the computer account password is not valid for this domain.
Is there anything I can do to to get the server to
recognize this system as belonging to the domain without
starting from scratch.
Thanks for any help.
Patiently staring at a logon Box
