MS does support dual-boot systems on a FAT partition.
Jason,
It really sounds like a damaged driver or system file
issue to me. You say you can press F8 and get to the menu,
then you cannot input anymore. This is around the time
that the mouse and keyboard drivers initialize for W2k.
I would take Server's advice, personally. It seems like
your Redhat install messed up a few much needed files.
