MS doesn't support dual-boot systems.
That said, my next reaction is "repair didn't work?". Maybe your Linux
install mucked with some Windows files, but what you're seeing would lead me
(naively) to believe that drivers have been mutilated in some weird way or
maybe the hardware profile was trashed - contention for resources or
somesuch. Repair should detect and correct this. Was your BIOS changed to
non-plug-and-play during the Linux installation?
You really ran repair form the CD?
If you can edit the registry of the Windows installation from the Linux
installation or from the console (a .reg file?) or even from another
parallel Windows installation, you could edit the registry to auto-logon.
It's an outside chance, but maybe after logon, Windows would look for
hardware changes.
