This doesn't answer your question, but personally, I might recommend using
the free OpenSSH software at www.networksimplicity.com instead. I
understand that RSH passes ID, password and all your commands and responses
in plain text which can be sniffed by a hacker, even if you are using
switches on your network. Also, while RSH relies on just an ID or password,
I believe OpenSSH also has other methods for verifying identity, such as
public keys. RSH is usually considered a potential security risk,
especially when there are free replacements that are more or less as easy to
use.
